Once the paddy is harvested, there are three main paths:

  2. Parboiled Rice: The paddy is cooked and then ground
  3. Steamed Rice: Paddy is steamed and then ground

Between 3 and 5 months after planting, the paddy is harvested, dried, and sent to mills where it is checked for quality and weight before processing.
